Most people don’t have a problem with ideas. They have a problem with starting.

They circle their dreams like vultures, waiting for the perfect time, the right plan, or the guarantee that they won’t screw it up. They tell themselves they’ll begin once they feel “ready.” But here’s the truth: that time never comes.

Perfectionism is just fear in a pretty outfit.

🔥 The Energy of October: 1

October is soaked in 1 energy — initiation, ignition, the spark that lights the fire.

The 1 doesn’t care if you’ve got the blueprint (although I highly recommend it). It doesn’t need your five-year plan or your ten-step funnel mapped out. The 1 says: light the match, strike the flint, move your damn feet.

You don’t figure it out before you begin.
You figure it out BECAUSE you begin.

🌑 The Circle of Self (I've been teaching this as a part of conflict/drama resolution, and it applies to the leadership of 1 energy).

This is where self-leadership comes in. It’s the umbrella that holds the entire circle of self - the practices, qualities, and inner muscles that make initiation possible.

The circle includes:

Self-trust → listening to and relying on your inner wisdom.

Self-worth → knowing you deserve to take up space.

Self-belief → having confidence in your capacity to figure it out.

Self-love → nurturing an unconditional relationship with yourself.

Self-care → tending to your body, mind, and spirit so your energy sustains.

Self-compassion → meeting yourself with kindness when you stumble.

Self-control → resisting impulses that pull you off your path.

Self-regulation → calming your nervous system so you can respond, not react.

Self-management → creating boundaries and structure for your time and energy.

Self-responsibility → owning your choices, your mistakes, and your wins.

Self-expression → giving voice to your truth, your creativity, your leadership.

Self-permission → no longer waiting for external validation to begin.

Self-celebration → honoring your progress (especially the messy beginnings).

Self-reflection → pausing to integrate the lessons, wisdom, and feedback from your journey so you grow with intention.

When this circle is strong, initiation energy flows through you with confidence and clarity. You don’t hesitate, because you know:

✨ Mistakes are not evidence of failure — they’re pure gold.
✨ Missteps are alchemy, not setbacks.
✨ Starting messy is still sacred.

The Circle Breaks: From Self Leadership to Shitty Leadership

When the circle of self is weak, things twist and morph. Instead of self-leadership, you fall into the shadow:

Self-criticism turns into criticizing others and calling it “leadership.”

Self-sacrifice warps into martyrdom, where you drain yourself dry and expect others to applaud your suffering.

Self-importance becomes arrogance, where you confuse domination with guidance.

Self-avoidance pushes you into isolation - addicted to doing everything in a silo because you don’t trust yourself or others enough to collaborate.

And here’s the real cost: your energy shifts from inspiration to competition. You push people away instead of magnetizing them. You think you’re protecting your spirit, but really you’re deflating it, keeping yourself small, bitter, and disconnected.

This isn’t leadership - it’s a façade. It’s a spiritual ego trap that looks like power but feels like emptiness. And the spiritual leaders who have really done the work can see right through this now. They can sense when someone has put in the reps in terms of self-leadership.

True self-leadership doesn’t isolate. It elevates. It doesn’t push others down or criticize - it pulls others up with you. It doesn’t compete for scraps - it creates abundance that everyone can share.

🌟 Ego vs Service

Yes - in order to serve others, you must put yourself first. You can’t pour from an empty cup. But here’s the razor’s edge:

👉 Are you putting yourself first to inflate your ego, or to reach your highest potential?

Self-leadership isn’t selfish - it’s the discipline of aligning with your higher self, so your overflow becomes service. Without it, you end up serving only your ego, not your mission.

🚀 Self-Leadership = Self-Starter Energy

For spiritual entrepreneurs, this is everything. Business requires initiation. There’s no brand, no offering, no community if you can’t begin.

Self-leadership is what transforms you from someone sitting on dreams into a self-starter who brings them to life.

It’s not about waiting for permission.
It’s about giving yourself permission.

It’s not about getting it perfect.
It’s about getting it moving.

🔮 The Invitation

October asks you:

✨ Where have you been holding yourself hostage to perfection instead of letting yourself begin?

✨ Where are you outsourcing permission instead of granting it from within?

✨ Where has weak self-leadership slipped into self-criticism, martyrdom, or isolation?

✨ And most importantly - are you serving your highest self, or just feeding your ego?

This month, let initiation energy move you. Strengthen your circle of self. Lead your own damn life.

Because the start isn’t just a beginning.

The start is sacred. 🔥
